De Boeing 777 (van EVA AIR, een Chinese maatschappij uit Taipeh) stond zondagavond te glimmen bij de gate en alle passagiers werden in staat gesteld om de neus van deze vogel te bekijken. Het zou toch niet in je opkomen om dat zelfde te doen als je met bus of trein reist. Ruim een halfuur voor de trein gaan zitten en dan pas instappen. Na een tijdje bleek dat EVA ook staat voor: Ernstige Vertraging Aanwezig. Rond instaptijd een korte mededeling dat er een technisch probleempje was met de boordlichten. Nou ja, dat kan op een schip ook gebeuren. Nieuw lampje of zekering en het probleem is snel verholpen. Maar we gaan vliegen en niet varen, dus er werd ons gezegd dat men alles in het werk stelde om even een onderdeeltje te halen bij leverancier of bij de concurrent (KLM werd zelfs genoemd want die moeten toch wel lampjes hebben op Schiphol. Helaas het was weekend.
Drie uur na gepland vertrek , het was inmiddels maandag 01.00 u. werd de handdoek in de ring gegooid. Alle ca. 300 passagiers konden naar een hotel op kosten van EVA (Een Vermogen Aftikken).
’s Morgens kregen we te horen dat we om 15.00 zouden vertrekken, dus de volle busjes gingen nu in omgekeerde richting. Bij het opnieuw inchecken hadden wij geluk. Een EVA (Een Verrassend Alternatief) medewerkster bood ons een business class up grade aan. Zo zie je maar dat boordlichten voordelen hebben.
Maar OMG. De Nederlandse Luchtvaarinspectie ging die kist eens even inspecteren. Allemaal mannetjes met gele jassen gingen dus een soort port state controll uitvoeren voor vliegtuigen. En ja dat zijn dus heel wat A4-tjes met heel veel X en V-tjes. Je snapt het al .
Even vooruit calculerend zou dat tot ca. 16.15 u. duren, want dan gaan de inspecteurs niet meer naar een nieuwe klus en toch bijtijds thuis.......
Om 16.30 u. konden wij dus plaatsnemen in onze luxe fauteuils met wel 10 knopjes om de ideale instelling te regelen. Een schilderij aan de wand, met hoe kan het ook anders een lotus erop en laat de champagne maar doorkomen. Om 16.45 de lucht in, bijna 19 uur later als gepland. De Chinese Eva stewardess (Een Vriendelijke Assistent) was een plaatje en bij elke passagier werd de menukaart doorgenomen, terwijl de schat op haar knietjes naast je in het gangpad ging zitten. Face to face dus, niet dat van bovenaf benaderd worden. Tja, ik ga daar in de toekomst toch wat meer op letten als ik iets te eten ga bestellen. Heet dit niet “once business class now spoilt forever”.

Omschrijving:
De Boeing 777 (van EVA AIR, een Chinese maatschappij uit Taipeh) stond zondagavond te glimmen bij de gate en alle passagiers werden in staat gesteld om de neus van deze vogel te bekijken. Het zou toch niet in je opkomen om dat zelfde te doen als je met bus of trein reist. Ruim een halfuur voor de trein gaan zitten en dan pas instappen. Na een tijdje bleek dat EVA ook staat voor: Ernstige Vertraging Aanwezig. Rond instaptijd een korte mededeling dat er een technisch probleempje was met de boordlichten. Nou ja, dat kan op een schip ook gebeuren. Nieuw lampje of zekering en het probleem is snel verholpen. Maar we gaan vliegen en niet varen, dus er werd ons gezegd dat men alles in het werk stelde om even een onderdeeltje te halen bij leverancier of bij de concurrent (KLM werd zelfs genoemd want die moeten toch wel lampjes hebben op Schiphol. Helaas het was weekend.
Drie uur na gepland vertrek , het was inmiddels maandag 01.00 u. werd de handdoek in de ring gegooid. Alle ca. 300 passagiers konden naar een hotel op kosten van EVA (Een Vermogen Aftikken).
’s Morgens kregen we te horen dat we om 15.00 zouden vertrekken, dus de volle busjes gingen nu in omgekeerde richting. Bij het opnieuw inchecken hadden wij geluk. Een EVA (Een Verrassend Alternatief) medewerkster bood ons een business class up grade aan. Zo zie je maar dat boordlichten voordelen hebben.
Maar OMG. De Nederlandse Luchtvaarinspectie ging die kist eens even inspecteren. Allemaal mannetjes met gele jassen gingen dus een soort port state controll uitvoeren voor vliegtuigen. En ja dat zijn dus heel wat A4-tjes met heel veel X en V-tjes. Je snapt het al .
Even vooruit calculerend zou dat tot ca. 16.15 u. duren, want dan gaan de inspecteurs niet meer naar een nieuwe klus en toch bijtijds thuis.......
Om 16.30 u. konden wij dus plaatsnemen in onze luxe fauteuils met wel 10 knopjes om de ideale instelling te regelen. Een schilderij aan de wand, met hoe kan het ook anders een lotus erop en laat de champagne maar doorkomen. Om 16.45 de lucht in, bijna 19 uur later als gepland. De Chinese Eva stewardess (Een Vriendelijke Assistent) was een plaatje en bij elke passagier werd de menukaart doorgenomen, terwijl de schat op haar knietjes naast je in het gangpad ging zitten. Face to face dus, niet dat van bovenaf benaderd worden. Tja, ik ga daar in de toekomst toch wat meer op letten als ik iets te eten ga bestellen. Heet dit niet “once business class now spoilt forever”.

Omschrijving:
De Boeing 777 (van EVA AIR, een Chinese maatschappij uit Taipeh) stond zondagavond te glimmen bij de gate en alle passagiers werden in staat gesteld om de neus van deze vogel te bekijken. Het zou toch niet in je opkomen om dat zelfde te doen als je met bus of trein reist. Ruim een halfuur voor de trein gaan zitten en dan pas instappen. Na een tijdje bleek dat EVA ook staat voor: Ernstige Vertraging Aanwezig. Rond instaptijd een korte mededeling dat er een technisch probleempje was met de boordlichten. Nou ja, dat kan op een schip ook gebeuren. Nieuw lampje of zekering en het probleem is snel verholpen. Maar we gaan vliegen en niet varen, dus er werd ons gezegd dat men alles in het werk stelde om even een onderdeeltje te halen bij leverancier of bij de concurrent (KLM werd zelfs genoemd want die moeten toch wel lampjes hebben op Schiphol. Helaas het was weekend.
Drie uur na gepland vertrek , het was inmiddels maandag 01.00 u. werd de handdoek in de ring gegooid. Alle ca. 300 passagiers konden naar een hotel op kosten van EVA (Een Vermogen Aftikken).
’s Morgens kregen we te horen dat we om 15.00 zouden vertrekken, dus de volle busjes gingen nu in omgekeerde richting. Bij het opnieuw inchecken hadden wij geluk. Een EVA (Een Verrassend Alternatief) medewerkster bood ons een business class up grade aan. Zo zie je maar dat boordlichten voordelen hebben.
Maar OMG. De Nederlandse Luchtvaarinspectie ging die kist eens even inspecteren. Allemaal mannetjes met gele jassen gingen dus een soort port state controll uitvoeren voor vliegtuigen. En ja dat zijn dus heel wat A4-tjes met heel veel X en V-tjes. Je snapt het al .
Even vooruit calculerend zou dat tot ca. 16.15 u. duren, want dan gaan de inspecteurs niet meer naar een nieuwe klus en toch bijtijds thuis.......
Om 16.30 u. konden wij dus plaatsnemen in onze luxe fauteuils met wel 10 knopjes om de ideale instelling te regelen. Een schilderij aan de wand, met hoe kan het ook anders een lotus erop en laat de champagne maar doorkomen. Om 16.45 de lucht in, bijna 19 uur later als gepland. De Chinese Eva stewardess (Een Vriendelijke Assistent) was een plaatje en bij elke passagier werd de menukaart doorgenomen, terwijl de schat op haar knietjes naast je in het gangpad ging zitten. Face to face dus, niet dat van bovenaf benaderd worden. Tja, ik ga daar in de toekomst toch wat meer op letten als ik iets te eten ga bestellen. Heet dit niet “once business class now spoilt forever”.

Omschrijving:
De Boeing 777 (van EVA AIR, een Chinese maatschappij uit Taipeh) stond zondagavond te glimmen bij de gate en alle passagiers werden in staat gesteld om de neus van deze vogel te bekijken. Het zou toch niet in je opkomen om dat zelfde te doen als je met bus of trein reist. Ruim een halfuur voor de trein gaan zitten en dan pas instappen. Na een tijdje bleek dat EVA ook staat voor: Ernstige Vertraging Aanwezig. Rond instaptijd een korte mededeling dat er een technisch probleempje was met de boordlichten. Nou ja, dat kan op een schip ook gebeuren. Nieuw lampje of zekering en het probleem is snel verholpen. Maar we gaan vliegen en niet varen, dus er werd ons gezegd dat men alles in het werk stelde om even een onderdeeltje te halen bij leverancier of bij de concurrent (KLM werd zelfs genoemd want die moeten toch wel lampjes hebben op Schiphol. Helaas het was weekend.
Drie uur na gepland vertrek , het was inmiddels maandag 01.00 u. werd de handdoek in de ring gegooid. Alle ca. 300 passagiers konden naar een hotel op kosten van EVA (Een Vermogen Aftikken).
’s Morgens kregen we te horen dat we om 15.00 zouden vertrekken, dus de volle busjes gingen nu in omgekeerde richting. Bij het opnieuw inchecken hadden wij geluk. Een EVA (Een Verrassend Alternatief) medewerkster bood ons een business class up grade aan. Zo zie je maar dat boordlichten voordelen hebben.
Maar OMG. De Nederlandse Luchtvaarinspectie ging die kist eens even inspecteren. Allemaal mannetjes met gele jassen gingen dus een soort port state controll uitvoeren voor vliegtuigen. En ja dat zijn dus heel wat A4-tjes met heel veel X en V-tjes. Je snapt het al .
Even vooruit calculerend zou dat tot ca. 16.15 u. duren, want dan gaan de inspecteurs niet meer naar een nieuwe klus en toch bijtijds thuis.......
Om 16.30 u. konden wij dus plaatsnemen in onze luxe fauteuils met wel 10 knopjes om de ideale instelling te regelen. Een schilderij aan de wand, met hoe kan het ook anders een lotus erop en laat de champagne maar doorkomen. Om 16.45 de lucht in, bijna 19 uur later als gepland. De Chinese Eva stewardess (Een Vriendelijke Assistent) was een plaatje en bij elke passagier werd de menukaart doorgenomen, terwijl de schat op haar knietjes naast je in het gangpad ging zitten. Face to face dus, niet dat van bovenaf benaderd worden. Tja, ik ga daar in de toekomst toch wat meer op letten als ik iets te eten ga bestellen. Heet dit niet “once business class now spoilt forever”.

[description] => De Boeing 777 (van EVA AIR, een Chinese maatschappij uit Taipeh) stond zondagavond te glimmen bij de gate en alle passagiers werden in staat gesteld om de neus van deze vogel te bekijken. Het zou toch niet in je opkomen om dat zelfde te doen als je met bus of trein reist. Ruim een halfuur voor de trein gaan zitten en dan pas instappen. Na een tijdje bleek dat EVA ook staat voor: Ernstige Vertraging Aanwezig. Rond instaptijd een korte mededeling dat er een technisch probleempje was met de boordlichten. Nou ja, dat kan op een schip ook gebeuren. Nieuw lampje of zekering en het probleem is snel verholpen. Maar we gaan vliegen en niet varen, dus er werd ons gezegd dat men alles in het werk stelde om even een onderdeeltje te halen bij leverancier of bij de concurrent (KLM werd zelfs genoemd want die moeten toch wel lampjes hebben op Schiphol. Helaas het was weekend.
Drie uur na gepland vertrek , het was inmiddels maandag 01.00 u. werd de handdoek in de ring gegooid. Alle ca. 300 passagiers konden naar een hotel op kosten van EVA (Een Vermogen Aftikken).
’s Morgens kregen we te horen dat we om 15.00 zouden vertrekken, dus de volle busjes gingen nu in omgekeerde richting. Bij het opnieuw inchecken hadden wij geluk. Een EVA (Een Verrassend Alternatief) medewerkster bood ons een business class up grade aan. Zo zie je maar dat boordlichten voordelen hebben.
Maar OMG. De Nederlandse Luchtvaarinspectie ging die kist eens even inspecteren. Allemaal mannetjes met gele jassen gingen dus een soort port state controll uitvoeren voor vliegtuigen. En ja dat zijn dus heel wat A4-tjes met heel veel X en V-tjes. Je snapt het al .
Even vooruit calculerend zou dat tot ca. 16.15 u. duren, want dan gaan de inspecteurs niet meer naar een nieuwe klus en toch bijtijds thuis.......
Om 16.30 u. konden wij dus plaatsnemen in onze luxe fauteuils met wel 10 knopjes om de ideale instelling te regelen. Een schilderij aan de wand, met hoe kan het ook anders een lotus erop en laat de champagne maar doorkomen. Om 16.45 de lucht in, bijna 19 uur later als gepland. De Chinese Eva stewardess (Een Vriendelijke Assistent) was een plaatje en bij elke passagier werd de menukaart doorgenomen, terwijl de schat op haar knietjes naast je in het gangpad ging zitten. Face to face dus, niet dat van bovenaf benaderd worden. Tja, ik ga daar in de toekomst toch wat meer op letten als ik iets te eten ga bestellen. Heet dit niet “once business class now spoilt forever”.
